MAKEANDMANAGE, is a Do-it-Yourself platform quality company for developing native mobile applications without any expertise in programming languages. By logging into MakeandManage one could be able to design, add/edit content and build mobile applications that works in Android and iOS platforms. An application generated via makeandmanage is totally a native app which enables the harnessing of maximum performance and has the dynamics which, only native apps can achieve. If the user wants to edit the content present in the App, even after publishing the app, it can be done without recompiling and republishing of the app.

  • Menus and Submenus : Similar to the Folders and Subfolders structure in a PC we could create Menus inside a Menu, this helps in efficiently classifying information for the easiness of the user to access them without any hassle. Any number of menus and submenus can be created. Hence Apps created using MakeandManage is highly scalable.

SCALABILITY

MakeandManage.com is a system which is designed to meet almost all kind of general purpose communication requirements of an individual or an institution or organisation through mobile applications. The functionalities that are available in this platform can be used multiple times as required to make a systematically organised  user friendly apps. Often there might arise situations where additional functionalities (for eg., online services, forms, e-payment etc.,) had to be included in such apps. Apps made through MakeandManage.com is capable to incorporate such functionalities, whether they are already existing in web platform or needed to be created from scratch.

  • Content

    Article : In this kind of menu, we can write online articles in the App. Images, Video links, Web links etc can be added to the Articles. The contents of the article can be edited by logging into MakeandManage.

    Calendar : An events calendar can be added using this menu. Users can navigate through a calendar view and see the events or program chart. On clicking a particular event among the list of events/programs in a day, can read further about it.

    Pages : Pages can be created by using a page editor which is very similar to those in Google Docs or MS Word. Admin can make use of different fonts, font sizes, font styles, text colours, background colours, text formats, text alignment,  bulleted lists, numbered lists etc. to create legible pages.Whenever a page is edited or new article is created the admin will be having the provision to give a push notification to the users to get them updated about the new contents added.

    Gallery/Albums : Admin can share images and albums to the users by creating Galleries or Albums. Users cannot download photos in Galleries or Albums. Once a new image is added to the gallery or album, the admin could push a notification to the users to get them updated about the new contents.

    Weblink Integration : In this menu, the users will be lead to a web address. There are two ways a web link can be integrated to the App:

    The web page or the link will be opened inside the application. This feature can be used in the case if the web page or link is mobile friendly. Using this feature, we could include various web services in the App and hence Apps created using MakeandManage has the possibility of expansion to a great extent.

    Web links that can be opened using another App in the phone. Some web links such as download links, map locations etc can be opened with another Apps that can perform its service to users. For example, the location of a particular institution can be provided to the users, the user on clicking this menu he/she will be prompted to open the link in Google Maps app. A download link to a pdf file can also be provided using this functionality, the user will be prompted to open the link in the default pdf viewer of the device.

    Magazine/Ebooks : In this type of menu, the admin can upload E-books or magazines in pdf format so that users can read them in the App. A magazine or Ebook uploaded is only available to read for the user. User cannot download those files in their device.

    Upload File : Admin can upload files. Users on clicking such a menu will get those files downloaded on their device.

  • Directory

    The admin can create a telephone directory that consisting of phone numbers, Email ids, etc of all relevant contacts. All the contents of the contacts are customizable. Adding a new contact, editing/adding/deleting a number from a contact are possible. Users could be able to make calls to the phone numbers and compose an Email to the Email ids in the directory directly from the App.

  • Messaging System

    Apart from the menu functionalities stated above, there is another menu type called Integrate Messaging. Using Integrate Messaging, admin can send messages that appears as push notification in subscribers phones. A message will be having a Title and Content. Images can also be attached with messages.

    This is admin monitored one way messaging system. Admin can compose and send messages to the whole subscribers or to a particular group. Although, it is a one way messaging system subscribers can also send messages back to admin by clicking the + button in their messages menu. These messages will appear in the message page in web platform. Admin can handle messages in the message page. Admin can compose new message, edit and approve messages from subscribers, delete a message in the messages menu. By approving a message from a subscriber, it can be broadcast to other subscribers as a whole or to a particular group. Admin can edit  message before approving if necessary. All deleted messages will be appearing in Trash.

  • Forms

    Form Builder: Administrator can build custom forms using the form builder and customize the fields from the web admin panel. Multiple forms can be created using the form builder. Each form will be displayed in the corresponding menu in the mobile app. Admin can add/edit form fields or sections , also change the order of questions even after publishing.

     Features of Form builder :

    Form sections :

    Multiple sections can be created inside a form. Each section can contain multiple form fields. In the mobile app, each section of form will be displayed one by one; the user can navigate using next and previous buttons. A form will have at least one section.

    Form fields :

    Form fields can be added inside a section only. Multiple fields can be added in a section. Each form field has a label.

    Following are the types of fields that can be added:

    –         Text box

    –         Text area (multiline text)

    –         Checkbox

    –         Dropdown list

    –         Radio buttons

    –         File upload

    –         Image capturing (one or more)

    –         GPS Coordinate Capturing

    Validation of form fields :

    Each form field can be marked as ‘required’ or mandatory so that the user cannot proceed without answering the field.

    Textbox can be validated for the following types :

    – DateInCurrentYear

    – Time

    Conditional fields :

    Any form fields can be made dependent on another field, based on a condition. For example, a text field can be made visible or hidden based on the value the user chooses for a radio button previously.

    Labels :

    Instructions or text between form fields can be added to the form. This may be used to provide help text for users.

    Advantages :

    • A default report generation module consisting of form submissions made per survey.
    • Survey results can be exported as excel sheets.
    • Filtering of survey reports based on different form attributes/user type.
    • Easy to integrate existing API services for:
      • User validation (user login or survey volunteer login)
      • Populating dropdown list or radio button values depending on conditions

    Managing Subscribers of an App in MakeandManage :

    Based on the privacy of the contents in an App, we can classify them into three types:

    1. Private Apps :  In this kind of Apps, the Admin can decide who can subscribe the App. Admin can add phone numbers of subscribers to the subscribers list in his web account. Only the phones having those numbers can get access to the contents of the application. This kind of apps can be used for internal communication purposes.
    2. Public Apps : A user when downloading a public app should have to go through a phone number verification process. Admin can view the phone numbers and names of all subscribers that downloaded the App in his subscribers list.

    Groups :

    In private and semi-private apps admin can categorize the subscribers of the application into groups. Admin can create and manage groups in the groups page.  Groups helps in communicating with a particular section of subscribers. Groups are of two types :

    • Open Group : After installing the application, the users will be prompted to select the groups according to their will. Users can also change their selection later.
    • Closed Group : Users cannot view a closed group. Admin can add or remove subscribers into a closed group. Only admin can manage such groups.

    Menu Visibility : While creating a menu, admin can set privacy of that menu :

    • Private Menu : These menus will be only visible to group/groups that admin decides while creating that menu. Hence privacy of such menus is maintained.
    • Public Menu : All subscribers of App can view the content of these menus 

    ADMIN

    • Admin Application : Admin can handle messaging module of his application using Admin Application. Admin can compose a new message, edit and approve messages without logging into web platform using this App.
    • Multiple Admins with specified privileges : Admin can designate sub admins by specifying their role.
      • Sub admins can have access to all contents if admins decides so.
      • Sub admin can have access only to messaging module. When sub admin login he can see only message page.
      • Admin can allot sub admins such that they will have permission to message only to one or more groups.
      • Admin can also prefer whether messages sent by sub admins require Admin’s ‘Approval’
